The Manufacturing Advisory Service has been developed as an integrated service for all UK manufacturers large and small. The main components of the service are Regional Centres for Manufacturing Excellence set up to provide hands on advice and assistance covering a wide range of issues about technology and manufacturing best practice faced by SME manufacturers. A national network of Centres of Expertise in Manufacturing supporting the regional service supplied by RCMEs. The RCME can provide up to 3 days free consultancy, which can address any issue relevant to productivity. This service can also incorporate access to a quick query answering service and a free diagnostic service on any specific technical problem.
